My friends, Over the next several weeks, I’m (of course) going to be updating  you on news, hype and entertainment/pr/media events, however I will also be placing a special focus on When Mag and the CEO and Founder, Doug Deneve.

Doug has traveled the states for many years and come into contact with some very prestigious people! Yes! Get Excited, BECAUSE we have some Awesome stories to tell.

This all began on Monday, May 10, 2010 with the “beginning” of a revamp for (feel free to check it out now – however we have a lot to add and catch up on). BUT THAT’S NOT ALL: In about 2 1/2 weeks Doug, CEO and owner of When Magazine and Myself are going to be aired on BlogTalkRadiostay tuned for more to be announced!

Now, I’d like to welcome a new staff member aboard:

Nicole Yvette is an up and coming movie critic from Sydney, Australia. She is been the founder, head critic and editor of Movie Critical (, the movie review website which focuses on new release films, but also takes requests and covers film festivals from around the globe.

After graduating from the University of Wollongong with a Bachelor of Commerce in 2005, Nicole soon realized that her calling was in something completely different than what she had studied.

So in 2007, she began a Bachelor of Media and Communication Studies with a double major of Screen Studies and Journalism and a minor in English Literature and International Studies. Nicole was lucky enough in 2008 to take part in the study abroad program and study at California State University at Long Beach in the Film program. While she was here, she also took part in an internship at a film company in Beverly Hills.

Since the beginning of Movie Critical, Nicole’s career has really taken off. She was asked to review several films which took part in the inaugural Soho International Film Festival and as a result, has earned herself fans in the world of independent film.

She has recently also been invited to join the team of When Magazine as their resident film critic, which she is very excited about. She is still open to helping out independent film makers by reviewing their films and giving them more publicity through her reviews.

Her favorite films are Gone With The Wind, Breakfast At Tiffanys, Garden State, Dogma, Arsenic And Old Lace, Sunset Boulevard and Amelie. Away from watching films, Nicole also loves spending time with her fiancé Damien, reading, listening to music, watching rugby league and cricket, Hollywood and its history, New York and musicals.

Welcome to the When Magazine/productions Team, Nicole Yvette as well as a special thanks to rest of our staff that has held strong through faith all of these years! More To Come!

And Ladies & Gents, Look Out! Cause We Have a Spectacle In Store For You!
